Bardia National Park is located in Western Terai, East of the great Karnali River. Bardia National Park is considered to be the largest national park and wilderness area in the Terai region. It offers excellent wildlife exploration opportunities with its 968 sq km of Sal forest coverage. The national park has been protecting the largest stretch of tiger habitat in Asia.\r\n\r\nWhile exploring its park, you will come across wild elephant herds, the endangered one-horned rhino, and if you are lucky enough you will be greeted with the rare sight of the Royal Bengal Tiger. The wildlife diversity at Bardia National Park will never fail to excite you. It is home for 30 species of mammals and to 250 species of bird including the endangered Bengal Florican and Sarus Crane. The Geruwa River at the park converges into one of the biggest water spots for animal and you might also see the Gharila, march mugger crocodiles and playful dolphins at the river.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival and introduction to Bardia

1:00 pm	Enjoy delicious lunch and rest in your room or nature garden
3:00 pm	For an introduction to Bardia we head out to a nearby ethnic Tharu village, where you will get to see the lifestyle of the Tharu people, the original inhabitants of Bardia. After sunset, we return to the resort.
8:00 pm	Dinner and overnight

Day 2 - Explore the Tiger territory

6:00 am	Wake - up call
6:30 am	Breakfast
7:00 am	Jungle walk to exploring the tiger territory with our naturalists inside the national park.
12:30 am	Jungle picnic by the river bank or at an observation tower (Machan). You can wait for the unsuspecting wild-lives to pass by Machan so that you may shoot them (of course with your camera!).
6:00 pm	We return to the resort after seeing beautiful hues of the sunset.
8:00 pm	Dinner and overnight

Day 3 - Elephant ride, jungle hike or jeep safari

6:00 am	Wake-up call
6:30 am	Breakfast
7:00 am	Elephant Ride (for an hour), an excellent opportunity to get the lifetime experience on the Elephant Back and to see the wildlife of the park. Return to resort and relax in beer garden or go to Patkula creek for swimming. if you don’t like elephant safari you can go for jungle walk again, an excellent opportunity to see the Tiger and other wild animals, small mammals, birds. We can also wait in the Tower (Machan) to have the wild sightseeing, accompanied by our experienced naturalists and wild life tracker. Excellent photographic opportunities are plentiful.
12:00 pm	Enjoy our scrumptiously prepared lunch.
12:30 pm	Head out towards the national park for a Jeep Safari. We will stop vehicle many time & can walk quietly up to the riverbank, waterholes & watch tower, where you enjoy the beauty & wildness of the jungle scenery. Our naturalists focus on tiger by closely observing its activities –fresh pugmarks on trails, Scratch marks on trees, alarm clock by other animals etc.
6:00 pm	Return back to the resort.
8:00 pm	Dinner and overnight

Day 4 - Nature rafting through calm waters of Karnali

7:00 am	Wake-up call
7:30 am	Breakfast
8:00 am	Drive to rafting point at Karnali Chisapani bridge
9:00 am	This is nature rafting to show you the wildlife from the different part of the park, will be stopped in more than 3 or 4 places and will be taken inside the jungle for the wildlife. You have an excellent opportunity for golden mahaseer and bird watching.
1:00 pm	Stop over on the side of rive have lunch and take a tour by foot inside the jungle and raft again, you have chance to watch lots of migrating birds, crocodile even gang-etic dolphins can be sighted. Raft will continue till the end of river around boundaries of park where our jeep will be waiting for you.
6:00 pm	Back to resort after sunset by our jeep.
8:00 pm	Dinner and overnight.

Day 5 - Bird watching and departure

6:00 am	Wake-up call
6:30 am	Breakfast
7:00 am	Bird watching inside the community forest to watch a great many species of birds found in Bardia.
11:30 am	Lunch and prepare for departure to your next destination.
