Adventure in the Monsoon

After hearing such great things about Freedom Adventures online, my two friends and I decided to do a 5-day trek to Poon Hill. We were aware that it was monsoon season, and that the views might not be all that we had saw online, but we were ok with that. While it did rain almost everyday, our guide Nirmal made sure we had a ton of fun each day. Also, Nirmal was very flexible in what we wanted to see and do, as the weather during the monsoon can change plans quickly. Some points were challenging, such as the uphill portions, but NIrmal made sure we took water breaks, had snacks, and stayed safe during our time on the “hill”.

The folks at the office are also very easy to work with. Had some complications after the trek and they were very willing to help us.

Overall, a great experience. i would highly suggest asking for Nirmal. He is willing to share his knowledge of the culture with his guides.

Wonderful trekking experience !

We joined a 2 days 1night trekkig, it is a relax and comfortable trekking for beginners. The staffs in thos company are very nice and friendly. The manager Ajay answered our question patiently and described very details like a teacher. And he takes really good care to his costumers. He knew my sandals are not sutiable to wear on trekking, so he borrowed his own shoes to me.

And Raj is our tour guide, if you like funny person, you have to find him. He is very friendly and funny, makes our trekking interesting a lot, and he is very patient to us because we walked very slow and he keep waiting for us and encourage us like a friend. He always makes the atomosphere very positive.

If you are the beginners of trekking, you can join a 2days and 1night trekking, i think it is easy and the view is worthful!

Mesmerising Mardi Himal!

What a joy to trek the spectacular Mardi Himal as a Mum & daughter duo, organised so efficiently by Arun from Freedom Adventures. Our main guide Tika guided us through mesmerising jungle, mountains, valleys & forrests with great care and attentiveness. Together with Raj we were encouraged, supported, entertained and informed of many cultural Nepali customs every step of the trek. We were also introduced to the villagers, delightful families and children along the way. Freedom Adventures are a wonderfully balanced team of respectful, enthusiastic and professional people. Thank you guys, we will always remember our days in the mountains in stunning Nepal with much fondness & great happiness and we will most definitely be back!

Engaging, Organised and Ethical - highly recommended

I was walking through Lakeside Pokhara going into each trekking guide shop I saw and talking with each business about the hike, distances, altitudes and timings. Most of the places i walked into greeted me with a vacant hello and an extremely basic conversation about what the hike entails without much detail. Walking past Freedom i decided on a whim to head in and talk to the staff, although I suspected it might be out of my price range due to how nice and spacious the office was (it fitted into my budget very nicely in the end).

I got chatting to Ajay and instantly I knew this guy knew what he was talking about. He wanted to know exactly what my capabilities and experience were so he could accurately pair me with a guide that would be a good match. Later I talked with Arun for my pre-departure meetings where we organised all the fine details of the trip and got the itinerary together with my guide. This is precisely what I wanted – people who were organised, professional and just good conversation.

My guide Basanta was not only a true gentleman but also now a good friend. We hiked together, we talked about our cultures and most importantly we looked out for each other in the mountains. I thank freedom for pairing me with a great man and I thank Basanta for being himself. If I return to Nepal he will be one of the first people I aim to see.

Before this review waffles on too much I’d just like to suggest to any potential hikers out there to just walk into Freedom Adventures, have a chat and talk about what you’re plans are – they’re not high-pressure salesmen. I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to work with a truly sincere and ethical company to provide an intensely memorable experience.

Thanks guys,
Ethan

Highly Recommended

We booked paragliding and a package deal with Freedom adventures. We had a lot of questions, especially related to safety and the logistics surrounding the package deal. The package wasn’t something Freedom advertise explicitly, but Arun got his head around calling his contacts making it possible! It included a bustrip to Royal Beach Camp (rafting and sleepover + Canyoning & solo cano rafting if wanted), a bustrip to Chitwan (Jeep safari and jungle sightseeing and a sleepover) and thereafter a bus back to Kathmandu for our flight back to Norway.

I would particularly like to highlight Arun’s extraordinary customer services and insights making us comfortable choosing him and his company. Also, his English is great which makes communication easy.

Highly recommended.

Ethical, Friendly, and generally great trek

Some friends and I went on a 5 day trek to Poon hill with Freedom’s guide Nirmal. The trek itself was beautiful, more wonderful than I had imagined it would be. But the company made us feel relaxed and looked after, and also made sure we got what we wanted from our trip. I say the company, because everyone has been brilliant, but it was our guide, Nirmal, arranged everything perfectly, despite our last minute booking.

Just to say a bit about Nirmal, because he deserves it, he was a fantastic guide, better than we could have asked for. He was attentive to our safety, really knowledgeable, and throughout the trek we felt like we were in safe hands. He was also great fun. pointing out things we wouldn’t have noticed ourselves, teaching us card games, and generally making sure our trip was really memorable.

About Freedom, now I’m back I’m really really glad we booked with them, because they go to a lot of effort to make sure their guides are not only trained to standards expected, but also make sure they all have first aid training and medical training suitable for trekking. They also care about the environment and the local community, and I loved the passion they had when they told me all about it.

I definitely would book again and would recommend them to anyone.

Incredible trekking experience

We arrived in Pokhara without somewhere to stay and were quickly overwhelmed by the number of hotel touts at the bus station. We couldn’t get away from a particularly nasty hotel tout and ended up taking a taxi to a random hotel from our lonely planet guide. On arrival, it immediately started raining heavily and we hid in a small cafe whilst someone from our group ran around the lakeside looking for a hotel. Hotel Simrik was the only hotel that didn’t pressure us into making a decision.

We noticed that Freedom Adventures was attached to the hotel and so we asked them about a 5 or 6 day trek that we could do. They gave us lots of information about different treks without ever pushing us to choose a trek with them. They showed us where the trek would go on a map, a detailed itinerary and told us about the medical supplies they would take in case anything went wrong. All of their guides have a good level of medical training. They also made sure we had the correct insurance which highlighted that they cared about our safety.

They managed to organise our trek incredibly quickly. We signed the documents at midday and were ready to leave at 8am the next morning. Our guide, Nirmal, was the most excellent guide we could have hoped for and I’m not sure we could have had a better guide. He helped us make our packs as light as possible, as carrying our own bags was important to us. His attention to detail is fantastic. All of the places we stayed at had beautiful views from our rooms and he always picked the place with the best food!

At one point during the trip I became quite ill and we had to delay our start for the day. Nirmal was great at making sure I was okay and giving me space to feel better. He even offered to carry my pack or take me to a hospital if that’s what I wanted. Nirmal also gave us information along our trek that wouldn’t be possible without a guide and didn’t mind when we constantly stopped to take photos. He was incredibly enthusiastic throughout the trip and you could tell that he really loved his job and being out trekking.

This trip was one that I will remember for the rest of my life. Trekking is an wonderful experience and Freedom Adventures made it as easy as it could be. They arranged transport to drop us off and pick us up from the our start and finish point. Nirmal’s organisational skills meant that everywhere we stayed was the best place we could.

I would recommend anyone I know to book with Freedom Adventures.

10 Day Trek to the Annapurna Sanctuary (ABC Trek)

We have just completed an amazing trek to the beautiful heart of the Annapurna’s. The weather was perfect, the scenery was breath-taking and the people were so friendly. Before our trek We arrived in Pokhara and visited a few trekking agencies. However, we felt most comfortable with Freedom Adventure Treks. Within 36 hours they had matched our family (ages 47, 45, 15, 13) with one guide (Siva) and 2 porters (Raj and Tika). They were all kind, helpful, knowledgeable, caring and lots of fun. I can thoroughly recommend Freedom Adventures Treks .

AMAZING TIME WITH AMAZING PEOPLE

I visited Nepal on october 2016. just before I finished the trip, i was advised by Ajay, one of the managers, to go to Mardi himal trek. It was excellent advise, since it was great trek. beutiful view, beutiful places, not too touristic and one guide Tika that took care for everything during the way. It was not too tough trek, with good view of the mountains there. It was organized very well, the hotels in the way. the food, the necessary equipment- slipping bag, sticks, water capsules, the rain coat- everything was organised beforehand by the team of Simrik hotel, MY home away from home.

An opportunity to actually be part of it

I think that Freedom Adventure Trek is unique in that provides an opportunity to not just see the beautiful scenery, the people and the culture, but to actually be part of it, which is truly a credit to you and your team. One of the things I enjoyed the most was often the music and singing in the evenings (and sometime in mornings!). Not only was it a great way to wind down, but it was also a great way to ‘break the ice’ so to speak with other tourists, porters and locals getting involved in the festivities. One of my favourite memories was a morning music and dance session in Kagbeni – we all later commented that was a great release after the stress of making it over the pass. It is moments like that turn a good trip into a fantastic trip, and I don’t think that you can get that with other trekking companies

Awesome, professional, safety conscious - the best adventure guides in Nepal !!

We just did a trek to Tilicho lake at 4900 meters, guided by Freedom Adventures. Throughout the whole experience with Freedom Adventures, we felt fully prepared and relaxed about the trek. They briefed us so well, super professional, friendly and made sure that all safety aspects were covered so that we could just relax and enjoy the experience. They have an intimate knowledge of the routes, the weather and conditions which just gives you the edge when setting out. They are literally available 24/7 which meant we could get feedback and advice at any time before arriving. Superb! I’m just desperate to get back to Nepal and do another trek with Freedom!!

Came as customers left as friends

Myself and two friends were recently looking to do the Annapurna Base Camp trek, we chatted to a few different agents but didn’t feel overly confident. The moment we walked into Freedom and began talking with Jagan, we knew we’d be booking with them. The next day we went in and met Ajay, who filled us with even more confidence.

We booked one guide, Durga, who was absolutely great, keeping spirits high with his beautiful singing voice, as we sweated through the jungle, battling the famous “Nepali Flat”. We lucked out as we also had guide-in-training, Nirmal with us who was such a valued addition to our trekking party. We were gutted to have to say goodbye at the end of our journey. The trek was such a memorable experience, made so great due to the wonderful staff at Freedom. We returned a few days later and booked paragliding through them too, again, a brilliant experience.I can’t recommend Freedom Adventures enough, the team are professional, caring and fun, they’re passionate about what they do and it shows.

We immediately felt safe and comfortable as they were so thorough and had thought of everything

We discovered Freedom Adventures accidentally when looking for a place to stay in Pokhara. We discovered the attached Hotel Simrik where the staff were warm, welcoming and kind. When we spoke to them about wanting to do some trekking they were nothing like the other agents we had met and instead of trying to sell us something and offering ‘bargain prices’ Ajay spent time talking to us through different options and what we wanted. We immediately felt safe and comfortable as they were so thorough and had thought of everything. What was even more impressive was that after booking at 11am we were able to leave the next day.

We booked the 5 day Ghoripani/Poon Hill circuit. In the evening before the Trek we met our guide Nirmal. I feel that we couldn’t have been luckier, he was a truely fantastic guide. From the moment we met him he put us at ease and talked us through everything we needed, helping us to prepare. During the trek he was quickly able to identify our different strengths and weakness’s as well as learning about our interests. He had so much knowledge of the area he was able to teach us lots about the areas we were walking through. He was so supportive and kind and had considered so many details, such as the view we would have from our rooms, or lunch spots. He is really is an amazing guide i would recommend to anyone.

Since returning from our Trek we decided to stay at Hotel Simrik for the rest our time in pokhara, as the team here are so friendly and helpful they have made it feel like home, I feel we have got to know them and they are such kind and friendly people- this (this the Freedom Adventures team). We have had chance to talk to different guides and they are so friendly and have helped us with all our stupid questions. Any of them would be great to go Trekking with im sure and I would recommend anyone who wants a great trekking experience book with these guys. I’m already planning my next one!

Thank you so much to Nirmal and the whole team at Freedom adventures for making this trip so memorable!

Couldn't recommend Freedom Adventures more than I do - they have been and alway will be my go-to for all travel - especially adventure - in Nepal.

In December 2016, my partner and I completed the Annapurna Circuit through a booking with Freedom Adventures. While it has been many months since our initial trek, I am writing this review now as our time in Nepal has almost come to an end and that I share with the rest of the world how coming across this company was in, a lot of ways, a highlight of our time in Nepal.

Upon planning for our first trek in the Himalayas, we were both nervous and excited to embark into the unknown. Due to the unpredictable weather conditions in December (it had not yet snowed), we especially worried about our safety as we had never done intensive trekking like this before. Enter Arun at Freedom Adventures – he was professional, kind, genuine and most of all NOT pushy as most sales people are when commission is on the line. He set us up with a wonderful guide and we had an incredibly safe and enjoyable experience trekking for 19 days. Funny note: even as we approached the final pass, Arun would send me text messages to update me on the weather conditions as he was aware that this was something that we (my partner) were stressing about 🙂 This is customer service that goes ABOVE and BEYOND the norm.

At the end of our trip – when our time with our guide had come to an end – we came across an unexpected issue at the check point where we were not able to pass without renewing our passport. Not thinking twice about it, we contacted Arun who ended up speaking with the officer in Nepali and sorted out the entire situation for us. Although we had to pay to renew our trekking permits, upon arriving back in Pokhara, Arun KINDLY apologized for the inconvenience and provided us a refund for the fees paid. This – in a lot of ways – is a testament to how awesome these guys were both in the office and during the trip to ensure we were having the best trip with the least problems arising.

In more ways than I can count, when you are signing up for a trip through Freedom Adventures, you are not dealing with just a travel company. Even 6 months after our trek, Arun, Arjun, Abu and Jagan still enthusiastically answer our phone calls and help us find answers to any trip-related questions that we have. They are extremely knowledge about not only the trips that they sell, but Nepal in general.

If you are in Nepal for the first time ESPECIALLY and you find yourself in Lakeside, do yourself a favour and walk into their office for even a chat. You’ll find yourself caught up in a conversation with Arun about muffins (and life in general) and Arjun about adventure travel and Jagan about all his CRAZY OVER THE TOP adventures. Couldn’t recommend Freedom Adventures more than I do – they have been and alway will be my go-to for all travel – especially adventure – in Nepal.

Thanks for everything guys!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic Company!! 10 Day Mardi Himal Trek plus Village Homestay

Highly recommend!!

From the beginning the Freedom Staff are very transparent with price, clear with the route and provide good details regarding day to day accommodation and hiking distant. The office is centrally located at Lakeside and had an open atmosphere. I had previously trekked with Intrepid to EBC and G Adventure for Annapurna Circuit, so I have a good idea of what to look for in a good trek. They quickly help me determined and organized a 10-day hiking trip plus homestay extension emphasis on less touristy trail. Their guides are top notch and knowledgeable about the mountain, culture and area. I will trek with Freedom again because they provided a personal touch by customized the itinerary to my physical ability and interest.

A fantastic team of people working together happily, making in turn others happy

I was recommended to go to SIMRIK .. by a friend.once arriving in Pokhara .Thinking it was just a hotel I walked in to be greeted by Arun Pariyar .. I was soon aware that this young mans passion and knowledge was focused on the Treks through these breath taking mountains ..and getting you out there safely and quickly. Player Flags Flutterin at Poon Hill My preparation for this trek was to say the least, minimal.Arun reassured me that I had all that I needed for this journey .We kicked over a few options based on .. health ..time .. money.. climate etc. ( he is very knowledgeable and passionate about his trails and likes to get to know his clients and their strength’s and weakness before sending you out into the tundra ! )After talking with me the Poon Hill trail came to mind with the last stop being the hot springs .Only 3,200 meters he states with a 40 / 50 km trek … easy !I was Sold !He organized my permits, sent me next door for a couple of photos.. gave me a sleeping bag … a pole.. a shopping list for things I need for the journey, organized a cab for drop off and pick up , assigned a guide to me who was to walk with me for the whole trail , his job was to look after me and get me back safely . Great organization with NO fuss .Unfortunately I became ill the morning I leftTIKA was the most patient kind, helpful man.BISTARAI (slowly ) Kim, where his words to me the whole trek .Arun received news of my sickness and called to Organize a Dr if I so needed, or a change of route, Tika had bought a first aid kit and within 3 days I was well .Every path has its challenge equally balanced with its beauty, The first two days where steps both up and down only Steps 1000 s of them all the way up and through villages and farm homes most boasting Dogs, cats, goats, buffalo, chickens, cows and horses. All roaming just as freely as you .Horse Grazing in the Jungle Tika was a perfect guide giving me respect for the way I was feeling and carrying my sleeping bag by the second day … health first KIM , where his words when I expressed to him how sorry I was for getting sick and not carrying my own Stuff . Day 3 up through a Forrest, through local mountain villages, tree roots replace the steps as a way up, down through icy narrow paths alongside frozen waterfalls, with the magnificent ‘ Fishtail ‘ mountain with its changing hues of colour from every place you stopped to rest just making you sit and be content . Feiry Clouds over the annapurnasDay 4 was by far my favorite ( probably due to my fever breaking) the route down took us across narrow suspension wire bridges spanning huge boulders and aqua ice blue mountain rivers up through the jungle and down into the riverside Hot Springs .. where for a 100nr you can bathe and relax for as long as your heart desires .A local passing by the bridge We were greeted by Arun and his team with warm hugs and hot tea .. after a short catch up I was provided with a large cosy room and hot shower . The only regret was that I did not sign up for a longer trek .I only touched the surface of this amazing country, I feel very fortunate that Freedom Adventures was recommended to me, a fantastic team of people working together happily , making in turn others happy .I can only wish to Trek again in these beautiful unspoiled mountains and would highly recommend this company .Thank you Freedom Adventures.. Friendly people, Excellent service...

The moment I began talking to Arun and Ajay, I noticed that they were not like the other agents. They presented different options that suits my budget for the trip to Chitwan, and gave good advises regarding a hike to the World Peace Pagoda. When I got sick after paragliding they provided me a bed so I could recover, and also rebooked my bus ticket so I could get to Chitwan the same day. Thank you Arun and Ajay for easing my stay in Pokhara!

Friendly Service, Familiar feeling, and Faithful Staff

I arrived in Pokhara with a friend and was told that Simrik Hotel and Freedom Adventures was the obvious choice for accomodation and organisation for outdoor adventures and activities. Arun and Ajay provide a fantastic customer facing company that provides exemplary service and compassionate company, even outside of their occupations. The passion and effort that all the staff put into their work, in order to create a welcoming and convenient service, is second-to-none. In particular all the staff involved with trekking organisation blew me away. Efficiency was paramount to the endeavour but without sacrificing ample explanation and reassurance of the necessary factors for an individual who had never Trekker in Nepal before, let alone at altitude. Perhaps the most refreshing aspect of the team at Simrik and Freedom adventures is the time they make for their patrons, I have shared many a overwhelmingly pleasant conversation with Arun, Ajay, Jagan, and many of the other staff. Honesty and transparency are also key factors in inspiring customer confidence. I would highly recommend these companies to anyone wishing to dip their toes in the vast expanse of trekking and adventures in the Himalaya as well as the wider Nepal area. Overall this company and its staff have impressed me deeply and have secured a lifetime of patronage from myself and others. Worth every cent and every second.

Genuinely committed to environmental and cultural sustainability

My son, Ashley and I went to visit Nepal in October 2008.\n\nWe went trekking to the Everest region. The scenery was breathtaking and the mountains were magical. The culture was fascinating with the friendliest people we have ever met. We made it to Everest Base Camp and Kala Patar at 5500m altitude. This is the most memorable trekking we have ever done.\nIt was a physical challenge, but the Freedom Adventure crew made it easy for us and without their support and encouragement, we may not have achieved this great goal. We met lots of trekkers that were struggling and turning back along the way.\n\nWe met lots of porters carrying extremely heavy loads, some with bare feet. We also met a porter that had been left behind when he got sick on a trek. We helped him with some medication and food. The company provided us with a personal porter each, with each porter carrying approximately 15kgs. They stayed at the same guest houses and ate with us.\n\nJagan was our guide with Pemba and Naran as our porters; they were very friendly and happy to share information about their culture and country with us. It was a great experience, with a great team. We found Freedom Adventure Treks to be genuinely committed to environmental and cultural sustainability as well as worker’s rights.\n\nDuring our four week visit, Freedom Adventure Treks also organised other activities for us such as white water rafting, visiting Pokhara, Chitwan National Park and Kathmandu City sight seeing. This made it possible to make the most of our time available, but it was all at an easy and enjoyable pace.\nOne of our friends originally recommended us to Freedom Adventure Treks and we don’t hesitate to recommend Freedom Adventure Treks to anyone who wants to travel to Nepal.

Great knowledge of the mountains and super personalities

We were introduced to Jagan and the team through a friend in the UK and we were very grateful to have such a amazing team looking after us.

Greeted by Ajay upon arrival in Kathmandu, we were well looked after from the start. He was incredibly friendly and helpful right up to when we left for our trek. Arun greeted us upon our return and made sure we were all set for sightseeing in Kathmandu. We were also joined by a local guide for a day going around the sites in the city who was knowledgeable and friendly. Our guide and porter, Nurbu and Lakpa, made the trip what it was – they were fun and friendly, and spent the evenings on the hike with us chatting around the stove in the teahouses and playing pool in Namche. We ended up treating them as good friends rather than our guide and porter! Even though one of us, unfortunately, got AMS, they still managed to accommodate both of us to do separate itineraries – one of us had to go down whilst the other carried on to EBC, but both of us still had a great time and found other walks to fill the days not going up to EBC, making the most of the trip. Overall, everything was well organized and we were looked after at all times. Nurbu and Lakpa had great knowledge of the mountains and super personalities, which made it all the more fun to be around for the trek. We wholeheartedly recommend these guys if you’re looking for a fun, memorable trip through the Himalayas.

Had a great time on the trek and am proud to have made it around the circuit

Tashi Delek. Had a great time on the trek and am proud to have made it around the circuit. I thought everything went pretty well. It was a most enjoyable trip which will stay with me forever, especially the two moonlight walks I did with Big Hari and Purna. The mountains those mornings were so beautiful. Will recommend Freedom Adventure Treks to any-one.

Hands Down Best Adventure Organization in Pokhara

I came across Freedom Adventure Treks while walking the Lakeside strip, searching for more trekking information. Representatives of the agency were out promoting the “Stupa Cup” trail race (distances of 5k, 12k, and fun run), which was organized to advocate for the sport of trail running in the community. Naturally, as a runner and already going to be in the area, I signed up. The staff at Freedom Adventure were extremely knowledgeable on all of the trekking options and incredibly helpful! It’s obvious that they genuinely want you to have your best experience in Nepal. So grateful I came across them on my trip! After my trek, I ended up staying at Hotel Simrik. It was very comfortable and reasonably priced! They really make you feel at home. I stayed in several places in Pokhara and wouldn’t otherwise take the time to write a review. You won’t be disappointed!

No worries chicken curries!

Well Mukti, you weren’t our official guide but due to luck, we bumped into you when you were Amy and Thor’s guide. You saved us in so many ways from the incompetence of a certain well-known travel guide (LP). (Thankfully you showed us the safer routes) And when we were running out of money because like fools we forgot to bring our traveller’s cheques with us, we realised desperately needed a flight back from Jomson, you just said “take it easy mate! I’ll sort one out for you on credit – just pay at Pokhara! No worries chicken curries!” THANK YOU! You were not only so trustworthy and honest but quite hilarious! I’ll never forget you toilet story in Marble Arch!

Nobody knows trekking in Nepal better than these guys

Without a doubt freedom adventures is the best place in Pokhara to arrange tours and trekking! the staff there were some of the most wonderful, kind and helpful people I met on my whole travels. They showed a really keen interest in my safety and welfare at all times and I really felt like they cared about whether I got the best service and that my needs were provided for. I was a solo female traveller, and I really felt that they looked after me. Ajay and Arun are some of the wisest, open-hearted and genuine people I have ever met in my life, and I felt like just walking into their office and talking to them I got an education about life! they are so positive and funny too, they are sure to put a smile on your face. I also found myself coming back to see them as often as I could, their vibe is amazing and I loved having deep conversations with them (in the small moments they are not busy with customers!), Nobody knows trekking in Nepal better than these guys, you’ll be sure to have top class professional advice from them and be sure that you are in safe hands. I did the Annapurna route for the trek, and although I was really nervous about it, (because I’m not very athletic) they put me at ease about everything! the trek itself was seriously high quality and worth every penny. My guide Bikash was excellent and really looked after me, it was one of the best experiences in my life! put your trust in this company for a eye-opening, jaw-dropping, and heart warming experience tailored for you <3

One of the most amazing places I have ever been!!

I have recently returned from my second trip with Freedom Adventure Treks and already I am planning my third. The first time I travelled with Jagan and the Freedom Adventure Treks team it changed my perspective on what I could achieve and what the world really has to offer.\n\nThis time I saw even more of Nepal and got a greater insight into its culture, people and environment. Thanks to Freedom Adventure Treks I have seen the Living Goddess, gone white water rafting (something that I would have never done), gone on an elephant safari, saw twin baby elephants and one horned rhinos. I have walked further and longer than I ever thought I could and at my own pace (which involves frequent photo stops). I never felt like I had to walk faster. If I was too tired to carry my daypack someone would help out and I always had someone to chat with as I walked. Even though I felt like giving up at times it has always been worth it.\n\nI made it to Muktinath temple the first time and Annapurna Base Camp this time, one of the most amazing places I have ever been!! I have also participated in the Annapurna Clean-up Campaign and the Eagle’s Nest Environment Centre and I feel that I have really given something back to Nepal in return for the amazing experiences that I have had there. Looking through my photographs I can’t believe all of the things that Freedom Adventure Treks has shown me and all the things that they have helped me achieve.\n\nI highly recommend Freedom Adventure Treks if you want to experience and connect with the true Nepal in a way that helps it rather than destroys it.

Stupa Cup Trail race

Saturday, March 11, 2017

I participated in the Stupa Trail Cup race in Pokhara. What a great trail, this was organized by Trail Running community of Pokhara and Freedom Adventure Treks .There was a fun run and a 5km trail and a 12 km away. The aim of the organization was to introduce young children to this wonderful sport and a longer distance for the more experienced trail runners. It was a great day for all the runners along the mountain up to the stupa and from the other side back to the finish. It was a beautiful route who was deported excellent with ribbons and had everything one could wish as a TrailRunner! The children enjoyed a lot and sang merrily after the awards ceremony and dancing.A very successful 1st version of this trail and I hope he will be organized again next year!I’ve enjoyed plenty of it anyway! Thanks again to the staff! Freedom Adventures and all the other volunteers who were more than adequate to help the runners. Joop Terwiel and Nellie Terwiel.Netherlands

The options are endless at this place....from trekking to charity events they are the true definition of community

Alyssa Jodoin - Testimonial1Fate or coincidence whichever you believe in lead us to finding Jagan and Freedom Adventures while travelling Nepal in February of 2017 and it was truly when the best part of our trip began. While aimlessly wandering the streets of Kathmandu we shared a casual conversation with Jagan and his friend while he was visiting the city for a few days. Naturally the conversation led to us explaining that we were heading trekking soon … Jagan’s friend mentioned that Jagan was an amazing climber but Jagan modestly did not admit to this great claim (while future conversations would confirm just how amazing this guys is!). We parted ways … soon regretting that we did not ask to exchange information with Jagan. We had planned to do trekking in Nepal but honestly didn’t have a clue where to start. We then decided to head to Pokhara hoping to find a mountain to climb. Now aimlessly wandering the streets of Pokhara .. fate would have it as on a random quiet street we ran into Jagan. This time we got the address to Freedom Adventures and met him there later in the day to chat. Jagan helped us find the perfect trekking option and the next day we headed out on the Mardi Himal trek with guide Bikash who was beyond great…a funny guy and awesome company. The trek was beyond amazing and exactly what we hoped for…slightly off the beaten path with incredibly scenery the entire way up. It was the experience of a lifetime. Screen Shot 2017-03-15 at 16.21.26Freedom Adventures is a place where you instantly feel comfortable and as if you are among friends. Chill vibes and great people you can’t help but stop in to chat every time you walk by. Helpful, genuine, and kind do not even begin to describe all the people at this company. I recommend them without reservation to anyone looking to experience the beauty that is Nepal. The options are endless at this place….from trekking to charity events they are the true definition of community. Cheers to many more exciting adventures guys!   Visited February 2017 View in Tripadvisor

We all received individual care

We had an amazing first time visit to Nepal. Seven of us went in April 2004. We took the 18 day Visions of Nepal with Annapurna panoramas trek, as recommended by Freedom Adventure leader, Mukti Timilsina. We didn’t know what to expect, but what a great adventure, white water rafting, elephant safari at Chitwan national park and a wonderful panorama trek through the Annapurna region. On our return to Kathmandu we experienced a Mount Everest flight and had a quick explore around the valley, which left us wanting more. Our sight seeing, rafting and jungle guides were all very knowledgeable and the trekking crew were the best. Our guide, porters, sherpas, cooks were all friendly and helpful in any way. We soon realised how terrific our team were, they not only took care of us, but also were always attracted other trekkers, in the way they did things and provided good traditional music and fun at any time. We found ourselves being questioned by other travellers: “How did you arrange this trip? Who is this company?” Everywhere good accommodation, good food, reliable transport, fabulous teamwork by our crew, they not only looked after each other, but they also had a great concern about the local people, and the environment.\n\nWe were a mixed group of different ages ranging 16 to 55, all with different needs and personalities, but we all received individual care. We came home with great memories beyond description, and already planning our next trip with Freedom Adventure.

We not only discovered the amazing Annapurna region but we also learnt about Nepalese culture and traditions.

We came across Freedom Adventure by pure chance as we were walking in Pokhara looking for a place where we could book a guide and a porter for the Mardi Himal Trek. We had a pretty clear idea of the itinerary we wanted to follow and the sales manager made a very good impression: warm, serious and security focused, which was what we were looking for. We went afterwards checking other places but this first impression was the best and came back. We still negotiated a bit the fee as this is normal usage in the country and their offer was a bit above the others. But now, most important thing, Naran our guide and Narindra our porter were simply perfect!!Professional, attentive but above all human and kind. We not only discovered the amazing Annapurna region but we also learnt about Nepalese culture and traditions. We really enjoyed our 5 days trek and felt secured at all time. Thanks so much Naran and Narindra for this experience and Freedom Adventure for making it possible
