Highlights of Nepal

After having the breakfast in the morning, we start the guided tour to historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu. We will be visiting some landmarks which are considered as World Heritage Sites. We stop by Pashupatinath, holy Hindu temple dedicated to one of the Hindu trinity Gods and God of Destruction – Shiva and the cremation site and Bodhnath reverred Buddhist pilgirmage site, supposedly the biggest stupa in the world influenced by Tibetan form of Buddhism. In the latter part of the afternoon or evening, walking Heritage tour of Kathmandu’s old bazaars, Hanuman Dhoka and Durbar Square. The labyrinth of backstreets and alleys leading from one bazaar or chowk to another and another are pure theatre. We thus emerge into the pulsating Durbar Square – if indeed so many-sided and so colourful a circus can be called a square – and to Hanuman Dokha, the royal palace for 200 years. Early morning we drive from Kathmandu to Benighat, Our rafting crew will welcome you on the starting point of rafting. Before start rafting our rafting guide will instruct you about safety and gear. After completing rafting trip we will have our lunch on the bank of Trishuli river. Drive to Pokhara from rafting end point. After arriving in Pokhara you can explore local market. Overnight in Pokhara.

After our breakfast in Pokhara we drive to Begnas, a beautiful lake of Pokhara valley. After exploring this lovely place we start our hike towards Yanjakot. A beautiful village where we will get closer to the local community and their lifestyles. We will have a home stay experience, where you can get in local kitchen and learn to cook Nepali food with local people. Overnight at Yanjakot.

Today we explore this village, after your breakfast we hike back to Begnas, today we will spend more time in this area. We also have our lunch in Begnas. After arrive in Pokhara we will explore Lakeside. Overnight at Pokhara.

Today we wake up early, drive to Sarangkot for lovely sunrise view, we will get closer to Annapurna Himalayan range. We drive back to Pokhara and have our breakfast and have enough time to get rest before we start our day trip. Drive to Davis Falls, a beautiful waterfall, followed by Gupteshowar Cave, then International Mountain museum, where we get closer to mountaineering and its culture and gears. Overnight at Pokhara.

We drive from Pokhara to Chitwan today, which takes around 4hrs a stop for breakfast. Once in Chitwan, lunch will be served, followed by a safari by village tour on an ox cart.  After Tharu village tour, we head back to the hotel. After dinner there will be a Tharu stick dance performance. Overnight at Chitwan.

You will get a wake-up call early in the morning, after breakfast you will be transferred to the start point of an elephant safari. Elephant safari will be approx. 3hrs in the Chitwan National Park where you will encounter numerous birds and wild animals including endangered one-horned rhino. Followed the tour after your lunch at the hotel. Canoe ride, Jungle walk and elephant breeding center visit will make your day eventful and engaging with the nature and wild animals.  Overnight at Chitwan.

After a wake-up call and breakfast, we will go for bird watching early in this morning. You will encounter many birds including peacock, white-throated kingfisher, male paradise flycatcher and so forth. There are more than 500 species in the Chitwan National Park. After bird watching program you will be transferred to Bharatpur airport and fly to Kathmandu. After arriving in Kathmandu we head towards Bhaktapur Durbar Square for sightseeing. After exploring the ancient city we will have our lunch at a cozy restaurant in the square, a chance to get closer to Newari cuisine. At the end of the day drive back to Kathmandu. This evening you will visit a local market, and collect a souvenir or two for your loved ones. Overnight at Kathmandu.

An amazing trip to the Himalayas concludes on this day. Freedom Adventures’ staff will drop you off at the airport approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight. Have a safe flight back!
