Day 1

Day 1

Drive from Pokhara/Kathmandu to Damauli, Rafting to Saranghat

On the first day of the Lower Seti rafting expedition, the journey kicks off at 7 am with departures from Pokhara or Kathmandu, followed by a scenic drive to Damauli along the Seti River. The day unfolds with a comprehensive safety demonstration and instructions on paddling techniques, setting the tone for an adventure that balances thrill and security. Participants navigate through thrilling rapids, including Mira House and Saran Ghat, breaking for a riverfront lunch. The afternoon brings encounters with challenging rapids such as Water Fall, Cheese Grater, and Coffee Pot, complemented by opportunities for swimming and appreciating the natural beauty of the surroundings. The day concludes at the take-out point, Gai Ghat, with options for participants to either return to their starting point or proceed to the overnight camp for an extended expedition, marking a day filled with excitement, scenic vistas, and moments of relaxation.

Rafting from Saranghat and Drive to Kathmandu/Pokhara

On the second day of the Lower Seti rafting expedition, the adventure resumes with a morning departure from the tranquil Saran Ghat River Beach. Paddling gently downstream, participants encounter the exhilarating Water Fall, Cheese Grater, and Coffee Pot rapids. The morning unfolds with ample opportunities for swimming amidst the scenic surroundings along the Lower Seti River. The paddling concludes at the designated take-out point, signaling the end of the rafting journey. Participants then embark on a comfortable bus journey, with a 3-hour ride to Pokhara, a 4-hour journey to Kathmandu, or a 45-minute commute to Chitwan. Throughout the second day, sustenance is provided with two lunches, one dinner, and one breakfast. For those on the extended 2-day trips (Oct to June), the evening offers an overnight stay at the tented beach camp, enhancing the overall experience amidst the natural beauty of the Lower Seti River. The day encapsulates a well-rounded adventure, balancing excitement, scenic appreciation, and convenient return logistics. Safety remains paramount throughout, ensuring a memorable and secure rafting experience.

Notes: During the monsoon season, the Lower Seti rafting experience transforms into an exhilarating 1-day adventure, characterized by the increased speed of water flow. This period offers a unique opportunity for thrill-seekers to navigate through the river’s challenging rapids in a condensed timeframe, amplifying the excitement of the journey. For added convenience, hotel pick-up and drop-off services are available upon request for groups, facilitating seamless transportation to and from the starting point.
