Upon your arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, Freedom Adventures’ representative will greet you. You will be dropped off at the hotel, and after checking in, you could walk around Thamel, a popular tourist hub in Kathmandu. Observing the market and some souvenir shopping will freshen your mind. Dinner at an excellent restaurant will give you a taste of Nepali cuisine. Your trek guide will brief you about the trip and the next day’s sightseeing trip. Overnight at Kathmandu.
After a lovely breakfast in the morning, we start guided sightseeing tour to some most historical and spiritual attraction in Kathmandu. We will be visiting some landmarks which are considered as World Heritage Sites. This Sightseeing will be fully informative and historical. We start our day from Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu temples, followed by Bouddanath, the ancient Buddhist Stupa is one of the largest in the world. Following our day to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, is the plaza in front of the royal place of old Bhaktapur. In the afternoon we visit Kathmandu Durbar Square and explore the old royal place complex which was built on the 14th century. After we finish sightseeing we follow the local market called Ason, crossing the busy local area we reach our hotel at Thamel. Overnight at Kathmandu.
We set off on a 7hr ride from Kathmandu towards the west to Arughat via Dhadingbesi, headquarter of Dhading district. Beautiful landscape will catch your eyes when we drive in dirt road from Dhadingbesi and we reach Arughat on bumpy roads. Arughat is the start point of our trek which is the major town in the region. There is a bridge over Budhi Gandaki River. Arughat is divided in to two parts when Budhi Gandaki River flows between them. Overnight in Arughat.
We start the trek from Arughat, crossing a bridge over Budi Ghandaki. We walk on stone paved street through the local market and pass the Arkhet Bazaar, Kuerepani, beautiful water fall, local shops of Arkhet Bazar. Then from Kuerepani the trail descends to Soti khola. Overnight at Soti khola.
We start our trek from Soti Khola and trek through a beautiful forest, passing through the ups and down rocky trails from Soti Khola. Climb behind a rocky outcrop, where the valley opens and the Budhi Gandaki meanders among gravel bars. After walking along rounded stones then climb over side ridge. Welcome again the river and traverse to Machha Khola village. Overnight at Maccha Khola.
We start our walk today from Maccha Khola with undulating trails. After crossing a few streams and rocky ravines we reach the Khola Besi. We will find a hot spring there. Continues walk till afternoon takes us to the eastern bank with the help of suspension bridge. Finally we reach to Doban. Trekking from Doban to Philim is a good chance for viewing lots of natural beauties like amazing landscape and mountains like Shringi Himal (7187m). Walking on a steeply rising rocky trail we reach the Yara Khola. We continue on and cross another long suspension bridge to reach Jagat. Overnight in Jagat.
We will have to complete some ACAP procedures, and then we climb over a rocky ridge to Salleri. The valley seems wider as the trail continues up to Ghatta Khola. Climb up to the Philim. Philim is a very large Gurung village. This valley is very famous for police station and Japanese build schools. After walking Philim to the north across the narrowing valley we reach Chisopani. Overnight at Chisopani.
After passing the palce called Ekle Bhatti, half an hour walk then we will find a breathtaking view of big and beautiful waterfall. We enter the pine tree forest. Descend down to trail going to the Tsum valley. Little climbing through the pine and rhododendron forest we will be amazed with the gorgeous view of mount Himalchuli and mount Boudha Himal. Lokpa a small and beautiful village is impressive. Pass Lokpa, descend half an hour towards Lungwa Khola and climbing more for two hours through some winding trail we reach Gumlung. Crossing the Siyar Khola we finally arrive at Chumling, a great place to view mount Shringi. We also visit the Chumling Gompa and the stone street of the village. Overnight at Chumling.
Crossing the suspension bridge onto the opposite bank. We will be welcomed by the beautiful views of Mount Ganesh Himal. Walking past Rainjam to Serpu Khola crossing another bridge we will get to Gho village. Climbing for more tow hours towards the Tsum takes us to the village called Chhokangparo. Enjoy the great view of Mount Himalchuli Himal at 7893m and Mount Ganesh Himal at 7140 meters. Overnight at Chokhangparo.
When we climb above Chokhangparo, we will be getting to higher altitudes, so it’s important to maintain pacing and drink plenty of water. Walk past Lamagon to the Rachen Gompa which is also known as Nunnery Gompa. Continue walking through the well managed village Lar, Phurbe and Pangdun. Place of old historic Stupa of Bhudda is left in a way crossing the village of Chhule, climb upstream and cross the bridge and finally arrive at Nile. We can make visit to a famous monastery of Chhule which is located in the top of area. Overnight at Nile.
Walking to the bank of valley through the Tibetan landscapes, we reach Mu Gompa. We will be very close to the Tibetan border at this point. We’ll pay a visit to a few monasteries in and around the village Then after we explore Dhephu Doma Gompa. Overnight at Mu Gompa.
Mu Gompa is the largest monastery in the region. The Gompa is situated at the very highest and most remote part of the Tsum valley. Today we make a sightseeing of the whole Mu Gompa Region. After exploring the Mu Gompa area you may also want to take a look at the base of Mount Pika Himal (4865m). Overnight at Mu Gompa.
We trek back through Chhule and Phurbe, on the east bank of the Shiar khola. We finally arrive at Aburgi village. Burgi village is small beautiful village. We will climb up to the Milarepa cave, famous for its mesmerizing glimpses of Poshyop Glacier, Mount Kipu himal and Mount Churke Himal. Overnight at Burgi Village.
Walking further, we continue watching the greenery of the nature and descend down to Chhokang Paro again. We move forward to Gho. Descending further, we arrive at the bridge over the Sarpu Khola. Trekking along the lower Tsum valley leads you to again Chumling. Overnight at Chumling.
The continue trek to the Lokpa. With the south trail we move ahead. On the way, we enjoy the beautiful Samba Falls. We arrive at Philim after 5-6 hours long trekking. A trail passes through the Philim village will leads to the Mount Ganesh Himal Base Camp. Overnight at Philim.
We start our trek today from Philim to Khorlabesi via Jagat and Tatopani. Froward down to Sirdibas and we reach to Jagat. Trekking to Yaruphant. Continue trekking to Dobhan. At last we arrive at Tatopani. We find the hotspring at Tatopani. You can dip yourself in the hotspring if interested, it will provide some relaxation to your tired muscles. Walking some up and down from Tatopani to reach Khorlabesi. Overnight at Khorlabesi.
The trail from Tharo Khola following in rocky ravine. Moving forward to Machha Khola village. Walk along the Budhi Gandaki River to reach to Gurung village of Labubesi. Trekking toward and passing through two water falls on a stony trail. We reach Khursane and again walking along the ridge above Budhi Gandaki and cross the Sal forest. Then we finally cross the bridge and arrive at Soti Khola. Overnight at Soti Khola.
Moving forward to Kyorpani. Trek down to cascading waterfall. Trekking further and we arrive at Arkhet. We leave the Budhi Khola valley. Passing by the hydroelectric plant with the stone street, we arrive at the Arughat Bazar. We drive back to Kathmandu with great views of green hills, mountains and beautiful villages. When we arrive Kathmandu, we take rest and meet up for dinner with trekking staff. Calibration for successful completion of our adventure and journey will be organized. There will be only thing we will be doing is sharing the experience, taking pictures and so on. Overnight at Kathmandu.
