Upon our arrival in the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, one of Freedom Adventures representatives will greet us and drop us off at the hotel from the airport. After checking in we will take a rest. We can also walk around the Thamel area which is one of the busiest tourist hubs in Kathmandu. Observing the market and some souvenir shopping will freshen our mind. Dinner at very excellent restaurant will cheer you up more, when we will get to test very delicious Nepali cuisine. This will introduce you Nepalese food culture. At the same time we will have some conversation about tomorrow’s sightseeing. Overnight at Kathmandu.
At around 8am, we host a pre-trip meeting at your hotel in Kathmandu and introduce your trek leader/guide. Please seek this opportunity to ask questions about your trek. This includes a final briefing and preparations for the trip. For the meeting, please make sure you bring passport, three copies of passport-size photos, and a readable copy of your travel insurance policy. During this meeting, please clear the due balance, if any, and sign the legally binding trip form as well as the non-liability disclaimer. Please inform us in advance if you will be arriving late and therefore are unable to attend the pre-trip meeting.rnrnAfter the pre-trip meeting and a hearty breakfast, your sightseeing trip will start at around 9:45am. You will have a private vehicle and a professional tour guide at your disposal. We visit Boudhanath Stupa, one of the biggest Buddhist shrines in the world, where we observe Buddhist monks praying in the monasteries surrounding the stupa. After Boudhanath Stupa we visit Pashupatinath, the most famous Hindu temple in the country, located on the banks of the holy Bagmati River. Here we see Hindu holy men (sadhus) meditating, pilgrims bathing and occasionally funeral pyres burning on the ghats. We will also visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square, which is a collection of pagoda and shikhara – style temples grouped around a fifty-five-window palace of brick and wood. The attraction of the Bhaktapur Durbar Square is The Lion gate, The Golden gate, The Palace of fifty five windows, Art Galleries, The Statue of King Bhupatindra Malla.rnrn rnrnThe rest of our time in Kathmandu is free for further exploration and some last-minute shopping in Thamel area near by your hotel. Driving from Kathmandu into the western mountains 7-8 hours will lead us to Arughat via Dhadingbesi, headquarter of Dhading district. Beautiful landscape will catch your eyes when we drive in dirt road from Dhadingbesi and we reach Arughat. Arughat is the start point of our trek which is the major town in the region. There is a bridge over Budhi Gandaki River. Arughat is divided in to two parts when Budhi Gandaki River flows between them. Overnight at Arughat.
Trek through the beautiful Sal forest, pass through the ups and down rocky trails from Soti Khola is an amazing experience. Climb behind a rocky outcrop, where the valley opens and the Budhi Gandaki meanders among gravel bars. After walking along rounded stones then climb over side ridge. Welcome again the river and traverse to Khursanibari. Overnight at Khursanibari.
We start our walk from Khursanibari with the undulating trail. After crossing streams and rocky ravines then we reach the Khola Besi. We will find a hot spring there. Continues walk till afternoon takes us to the eastern bank with the help of suspension bridge. Finally we reach to Doban. Trekking from Doban to Philim is good chance for viewing lots of natural beauties like amazing landscape and mountains like Shringi Himal (7187m). Walking on a steeply rising rocky trail we reach the Yara Khola. Continues walk and crossing another long suspension bridge we reach Jagat. Overnight in Jagat.
Morning breakfast at jagat, we get ourself prepared for the day ahead . After some walking we also cross the Manasulu Conservation Area then descend ahead with the trail will lead us up to Philim. We cross the Budhi Gandaki then descend down to river Shar khola. Pass through several village like Mani village, Barchham and Lihi village. After we climb for Sho village. Sho village is wonderfully crafted with stone houses. Mountains like Manasulu, Himalchuli and Saula Himal and Dwijen Himal will smile at us and that view will take your breath away. We walk for a while and then we enter Lho village. Lho has some beautiful monastery and Lama school. After passing through some forest we get to the Deng village.Overnight at Deng.
Starting trek from Deng we again meet the Budhi Gandaki. Crossing the river again and following an uphill trail to Rana. By the Shrinng Khola suspension bridge to Ghap we stop for a lunch. We enter a dense mixed forest where we will feel the bird life and monkeys. The trail holds its height above the river. Climbing through the waterfall and another climb through to forest we finally reach Namrung. Overnight at Namrung.
With the view of beautiful village of stone houses along with Tibetan influence we move further. We climb up through the fields and past first the village of Barchham then Lihi. Again climb to Sho village again with stone houses. With the Mountain View like Manaslu, Himalchuli Saula Himal and Dwijen Himal on the both side of trail makes walk more interesting. After some walk we enter the Lho an important village with a monastery and Lama school. After moving more we get to the Thusang khola. Mount manaslu and Himal chuli dominate the entire landscape. Moving further on Numla Khola and the valley fades away and after few walk we finally arrive Samagaon. Samagaon is a classic lama village with beautiful monastery and complete looks of Tibetan culture.
Exploring the village and hiking around to Pung-gyen Gompa. Interacting with the locals and observing the daily local life. Overnight at Samagoan.
Moving forward to Kyorpani. Trek down to cascading waterfall. Trekking further and we arrive at Arkhet. We leave the Budhi Khola valley. Passing by the hydroelectric plant with the stone street, we arrive at the Arughat Bazar. We drive back to the Kathmandu with chill view of green hills, mountains and beautiful villages. When we arrive Kathmandu, we take a rest and meet up for a dinner with trekking staff. Calibration for successful completion of our adventure and journey will be organized. There will be only thing we will be doing is Sharing the experience, taking pictures and so on. Overnight at Kathmandu.
